BRFoodBankThe Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank was the recipient of $2,542.62 from the proceeds of our show, "On The Road Again - Are We There Yet?".  This will allow the food bank to feed many people in the Baton Rouge area that otherwise would have gone hungry.  Many thanks to all who helped make this project the great success that it was!

Donna Robinson - Our Newest Sweet Adeline Extraordinaire

The 2012-2013 nominee for the Baton Rouge Chorus is Donna Robinson.

1. She accepted the job of chair of our 2012 show having never been in one and did a great job.
2. She agreed to head up the physical warm up team and is always prepared and ready to step in if needed.
3. Her wit and charm make her a joy to be around.
4. She is equally at home working behind the scenes and out front.
5. We think she was a Sweet Adeline in a former life as she has embraced this life style from the day she saw us perform in the mall at Christmas a few years ago.

Congratulations to Donna!

She was the Lead section leader for four years and the Assistant Director of the Baton Rouge chorus for two years prior to becoming the Director. She completed the Directors Certification Program in 2004. Cate works for the Louisiana Secretary of State in the elections and voter registration division. She enjoys movies and audio books.

Gwen Chapman Voted Sweet Adeline Extraordinaire

GwenChapmanChapman was voted in as the Baton Rouge Chorus' newest Sweet Adeline Extraordinaire!  Chorus members do the voting each year and Gwen was an obvious choice.  She volunteered to be our assistant director this year for those times when Cate was not able to be there.  She has a real ear for the music and many of the things she did directly helped our sound.  Her cheerful attitude and encouragement helped us to sing our best.  Gwen stepped up to the plate and hit it out of the park!
